The most useful sites to date are: •Australian major law sites: http://www.nla.gov.au/oz/law.html#major •The Commonwealth Attorney General’s Department (http://www.law.gov.au) is the main source of information about commonwealth legislation. • Law Link, the New South Wales Attorney General’s Department lawsite, is described as "a one-stop shop for legal information on a range of topics from debt recovery and criminal law, to business and employment law." It provides links to all legal websites in Australia, and in particular those of the various courts and tribunals. http://www.lawlink.nsw.gov.au • Law4U ("plain English legal information"), a privately-funded website in Victoria, explains the law in all areas (in the form of five or six comprehensive factsheets) and has links to the relevant legislation. Although Victorian-based, this website now covers New South Wales and will soon be relevant nationally. http://www.law4U.com.au |
