Bookshops and Libraries

All of the pages in this section of the CRESAB website are under construction and may contain only a fraction of the references for the moment; all suggestions are welcomed (see contact e-mail address at the bottom of the page).

I. Bookstores
A)
Bookstores in France selling publications in English

The bookstores listed on the linked page are mainly in Paris (but not all) and are either specialized in publications in English, or French branches of British or American bookstores. There are, of course, many other bookshops in Paris and the provinces which carry a small selection of popular titles in English, but they have been omitted from our list for obvious reasons. (This list is under construction.)

B) Bookstores in Great Britain and the United States

The bookstores listed on the linked page are mainly real bookstores (i.e. with either a street or mailing address) which may also sell over the internet but which do not practice that type of sale on as large a large scale as the bookstores in category II.

II. Virtual bookstores to order books via the Internet

The bookstores listed on the linked page are either totally virtual bookstores (i.e. with no street or mailing address whatsoever) or established bookstores with a large internet book-buying service. Some sell only new books while others specialize in used books or sell both new, used and rare or out-of-print titles.

III. Libraries in France with collections of American and British books (this list excludes university libraries, whose holdings can be consulted via the Inter-library Loan system present in all university libraries in France)

IV. Libraries in the rest of Europe :

V. Libraries outside of Europe with catalogues accessible via the Internet:
