Seminar at the Collège de France (June 2009)

Michael Detlefsen will give a series of lectures entitled "Proof, Creation and Freedom in Mathematics" at the Collège de France during the month of June. The schedule is as follows: June 3, 17h00 - June 10, 17h00 - June 17, 17h00 - June 24, 10h00. All lectures will be held in salle 2, Collège de France, 11 Place Marcelin Berthelot, 75005 Paris. Note: Please note the different time for the last lecture, 10h00 rather than 17h00.


Fall IP Fellows Seminar

Seminar to be held at the University of Nancy 2, Campus Lettres et Sciences Humaines, room G-04, October 29th.

IP seminar in Nancy

Three main areas will be investigated, namely:

  1. proof in geometry
  2. application of epistemic logic to the understanding of proof
  3. dialogical conceptions of proof

The sessions will occur every two weeks, proceeding as follows:

The first session of the seminar took place on Friday 1st of February, University Nancy 2 (Building A, Room 104).The general prospects of the project of chaire d'excellence were outlined on this occasion, together with the future topics and invited speakers among the three research areas.

The schedule for the next sessions will be fixed at each session.
